Proposals that become billing and payments
Ignition describes a chain from proposal and agreement to automated billing and payment collection. Briefi signs the letter but takes no payments from your clients.1
Both put an engagement letter in front of a client to sign, and many firms could use both. Ignition is built around the proposal and what follows it: once signed, its page says billing and payment happen automatically, and it connects to Xero, Xero Practice Manager and MYOB. Briefi does not take payments or connect to your accounting software. It puts the meeting, the letter with its fee schedule, document requests and the register of each client’s entities on one record. If collecting the fee is the gap, look at Ignition. If the client conversation around the letter is the gap, look at Briefi.
What each does today. Every line about Ignition links to the page it came from.

Ignition collects the fee. Briefi runs the client conversation around the letter. Ignition’s pages we read describe no meeting tools or client portal, but a page that does not mention something is not proof it is absent, so those are not scored. A row appears only where Ignition’s own pages say something we could check.
If any of these decides it for you, Ignition is likely the better fit today.
