A modest yearly price with no limit on clients
Dubsado’s Starter plan is three hundred and thirty-five dollars a year in USD, with unlimited clients and projects, and a twenty-one day trial of Premier that needs no card.1
Dubsado’s page for licensed and specialised services quotes coaches, doulas, bookkeepers and accountants, and legal professionals who use it. It covers the path from lead form to proposal, contract, invoice and payment, with workflows that run on their own from its Premier plan. Briefi covers a different stretch: the meeting before the paperwork, the recap after it, and the engagement letter with its fee inside. It does not take payments from your clients today, and it has no built-in link to accounting software. If you want onboarding and billing automated at a low price, Dubsado is the stronger fit. If the client meetings are where your practice is won or lost, start with Briefi.
What each does today. Dubsado’s side comes only from the pages linked beside each line. Silence on a page is not scored as a missing feature.

Dubsado runs the onboarding and the billing. Briefi runs the meetings and the record of what was agreed. Anything Dubsado’s pages do not state is left out of the table rather than guessed.
A bookkeeping practice brings on a new client. This follows what each product does from the first lead to the next year’s engagement. Dubsado’s cells report what its pricing, contracts, payments, integrations and licensed services pages say, as read on 16 October 2026.
Lead capture forms are listed with one active form on Starter and unlimited forms on Premier.1
The first call is on your calendar, and a brief is ready before it starts from whatever the client’s record holds.
Scheduling is listed on Premier, and meeting links can be generated for Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. Recording or summarising the call is not described.15
The call is captured or recorded face to face, and the recap lists decisions and the actions each side owes, with a follow-up draft ready to send from your own mailbox.
Public proposals are listed on Premier. Contracts can use smart fields and variable pricing tables, with signing records and countersigning.12
The engagement letter goes out in your wording, the fee schedule is inside the signed document, and each signatory signs on their own link.
Invoices can run on payment plans with reminders, and cards or ACH are taken through Stripe, with optional card surcharging.41
Not today. Briefi does not take payments from your clients, so the invoice comes from the billing tool you already use.
The client portal gives access to forms and documents, and workflows on Premier can send the next form or reminder automatically.31
A request for records goes out and your team accepts or waives each file, so you can see at once what is still outstanding for this client.
Recurring payments and reminders carry on, and a new contract can be built from a saved template with dynamic date fields.62
The review meeting is briefed from the year’s recaps, the entity register shows what each company, trust or fund still owes, and a fresh letter goes out to sign.
If one of these decides it, Dubsado is probably the better pick today.
Dubsado’s Starter plan is three hundred and thirty-five dollars a year in USD, with unlimited clients and projects, and a twenty-one day trial of Premier that needs no card.1
It describes automated payment plans and reminders, stored cards for recurring payments and instant payouts, built on Stripe. Clients cannot pay inside Briefi yet.4
Its licensed services page lists automated workflows, recurring payments, confirmation emails and payment reminders, which a practice with a repeatable onboarding can set once.61
Dubsado lists both in its integrations, with the bookkeeping integration on its Premier plan. Briefi has no built-in connection to either.51
Dubsado makes the onboarding run itself. Briefi helps with the parts that cannot be automated, which are the conversations.
Before a client meeting a brief is built from the client’s record and every action still open, so the adviser is not reading old emails in the lobby.
A request for the year’s records goes to the client, and your team accepts or waives each file that comes back, so the checklist shows what is still missing.
An accounting workspace keeps a register of the companies, trusts and funds on each client or family group, with the lodgements each one owes.
Briefi does not take payments from your clients today, and has no built-in link to accounting software. A bookkeeping practice that bills through Dubsado can keep doing so.
How the whole record fits together is on the Advisor page.
Dubsado prices by plan per year, with extra brands and extra users as add-ons. Its pricing page states that all prices are in USD, and the text we read shows yearly prices only. Briefi sets one price for each plan, whatever the number of users, and its page lists what a plan holds.
Briefi prices are in AUD and are read from the same price list as the pricing page, so they change when it does.
What Dubsado’s help articles and cancellation policy say about getting data out, and what you set up again in Briefi. All were read on 16 October 2026.
On the Projects tab, choose a project status, click Export, and pick the client or project fields. Every project in the status you are viewing goes into the file, and filters narrow it.8
A newer article, dated September 2026, says the contact list can be exported back out to a CSV, with a choice of which client fields to include.9
The export is CSV only, works on a desktop and not on mobile, and Dubsado suggests Chrome. Basic and accountant multi-users can export only name, phone, email and street address.8
Cancelling must be done in the account under Settings, then Billing, and not by phone or email. The brand stays active to the end of the billing cycle, and cancelling the primary brand cancels the others.7
Dubsado says it is only responsible for keeping content for ninety days after the cancellation date, and would email first. An annual plan is refundable in full only if you cancel and ask within fourteen days of the last charge.7
Invoices, payment plans and stored cards stay with Dubsado or move to another billing tool, since Briefi does not take payments from your clients today. Workflows and automations are rebuilt, and contract templates are recreated in Briefi, where a Word or PDF file can be imported as the start. There is no Dubsado import either: contacts reach Briefi from the meetings on your calendar, or are typed in.
Partly. Briefi sends check-ins and requests for records and runs review schedules, but it does not take payments from your clients today, which a Dubsado workflow can arrange.
Yes. Dubsado can run lead forms, proposals and billing while Briefi holds the meetings, recaps and the signed engagement letter. They are not connected, so a new client is set up in each.
Its plan table lists unlimited projects and clients on both Starter and Premier. The limits it does state are lead forms and the number of users and brands.
Briefi stores it in Sydney, and some processing uses providers overseas, named on the Security page. We did not find a statement about where Dubsado stores data on the pages we read.
No. There is no built-in connection to either. On a plan with the API, a developer can read Briefi’s contacts and meetings and pass them on.
